Snetterton Race in Classic Rover SD1
A dabble at racing in 2001 saw me heading to Snetterton for my 2nd ever race. I turned up a day early to get some practice in but the LSD in the rear axle fell apart! The only spare I had was a regular diff so I stayed up until midnight fitting it and headed for the race.
No LSD slowed the car down a bit but, as you can see, I still had a lot of fun. Although 3 abrest into the chicane was a bit ambitious and I had to take to the grass!

Stirling Moss Ford Aurora Slot Car Race - I've Got a Secret
In this episode, from November 23, 1964, four young men compete for $5000 in the finals of an Ford Aurora Table Top Racing Car Championship. The actual prize was a Ford Mustang and a $2000 scholarship. Mustang was of course a brand new and highly successful car for Ford. The race is officiated by one of Formula 1's greatest drivers, Sir Stirling Moss. Aurora sold a line of Model Motoring slot cars with Moss' name on them.
